The Carcassonne lost expansion

The "Catapult" expansion for the board game Carcassonne introduces an exciting new twist to the classic tile-laying game. It adds a catapult mechanic that allows players to launch pieces to steal or swap tiles from other players. This expansion follows the traditional rules of Carcassonne, but with a unique feature that adds more interaction and strategy among players.
Fun facts:

  • The catapult mechanic: Players launch a small wooden piece in the shape of a "catapult," which can alter tile placements, introducing an element of luck and skill to the game.
  • Additional difficulty: The catapult is not just a strategic tool; it also adds a higher level of challenge, as the launch needs to be precise to effectively influence the board.
  • Limited availability: "The Catapult" was released as a limited expansion and was only available at certain events or as part of special promotions, making it a highly sought-after item for collectors.
  • The worst rated: Despite its uniqueness, "The Catapult" is considered the most criticized Carcassonne expansion. Many players felt that the catapult mechanic disrupted the flow of the game, and the element of chance detracted from the strategic depth. For this reason, it was not re-released in future editions, making it a controversial and hard-to-find expansion.

Although this expansion adds dynamism and a new way of player interaction, its negative reception and criticisms regarding its imbalance led to its removal from the market.

New GTA Trilogy update!

The GTA Trilogy's new patch is far bigger than Rockstar seems to want to admit, with a host of quality-of-life adjustments in addition to its visual improvements.

Yesterday, the GTA Trilogy - a collection of GTA 3, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas which launched in a pretty shaky state in 2021 - received its first update in two years. From the patch notes, you might assume that the changes were pretty minor - Rockstar says that as of November 12, the game had received "numerous fixes and improvements," and it had "added Classic Lighting mode which restores the look and feel of the sky in the original games."

For those of you particularly fond of San Andreas' sepia palette, that's great news, but if you simply took Rockstar at its word, you'd be missing out on some pretty chunky changes that have been added to the game. Twitter user Besk, for instance, notes that GTA 3 and Vice City now allow you to run and gun with larger weapons, like shotguns and flamethrowers, in a change that wasn't even present in the original games.

New Update

That's right! A new update for the definitive edition of GTA has arrived.

My motivation for making video game and board game tutorials is that both are topics that I really like and the tutorials can help new people who are entering these media to better understand their mechanics and characteristics. This page explains tutorials on installing patches, programs, and also various software. The board games to be tried are: Carcassonne and probably Zombies!!! by Twilight Creations.
